Introduction

Talview Secure Browser (TSB) is a way of delivering remote assessments securely by preventing candidates from switching tabs and opening other applications while taking the assessment. TSB enables a secure exam environment to help you attend the assessment remotely. While launching TSB it will enforce a restriction to have a sanitized test environment by closing other browsers or applications that are opened, it automatically closes the browser and the applications before it starts with the test.

Integration Steps

Prerequisites

  • Domain Whitelisting:

Whitelisting will be done at the domain level. The assessment URL has to be whitelisted with Talview to allow them to open in TSB where the whitelisting activity will be carried out by the Talview team upon providing the test/assessment URL.

Installing TSB

The links to download the TSB depend on the Windows or Mac operating systems.

Protocol to launch TSB

TSB has implemented deep linking in applications by which a unique protocol is registered in the OS (Operating System) when the application is run for the first time (as part of the installation). If the page needs to be opened in TSB, that can be done using the link constructed using the protocol.

Protocol: tsb

Syntax: tsb://<assessment URL>

Example: tsb://talview.com

Once you installed the TSB, launch the assessment by clicking on the protocol-based URL share with the test taker. When the candidate tries to launch the TSB system will automatically validate for the browser version to be the latest if not it will upgrade the browser before proceeding with the test.

Note: Protocol will automatically launch the TBS and loads the assessment URL using https protocol.
