ROLES AND ACCESS


The following are the roles in an organization and the access to the features differ accordingly.


1Master Recruiter - Most of the top level management people have this access to view all the data in the organization including assessments, candidates, etc. 


2Recruiter - Users with this role perform the necessary actions in order to process the candidates under them. They have access to the assessments they own. 


3. Evaluator/Panel - The evaluators use the application to evaluate the candidates’ responses and only have access to the candidates assigned to them. Their evaluations help the Master recruiters and Recruiters to make hiring decisions. 


4Content Manager - This role only allows the users to manage the questions in an organization.



ISSUES AND ROOT CAUSES


1. PROVIEW VIDEO NOT AVAILABLE


If the proview video for a session is not available, check for the logs in the ‘Public event’ option. 


If the following flags are available in the logs, the video will be available within a timeframe of 30 minutes after completion of the session.

*Face Detected

*Recording started

*Session Joined


If not, the public event will show up like the below screenshot.



Root Cause: 


If the candidate’s browser is not supported or the hardware permission(Camera/Microphone/Notification) is denied, a session will be created but no logs will be available.

2. COMPLETE VIDEO IS NOT AVAILABLE.


We can check on the public event logs for the timespan of the session attended by the candidate and the proctor video for the same should be available. 


There might be instances where the complete video is not available.


Root Cause:


Data not received from the candidate system (Verify through Debug Events). 



As the video will be received in our system in chunks of 30 sec videos, If the uploading of any video chunks is failed(due to network or system error from the candidate end), those videos will not be available on the platform.

3. PROVIEW RATING NOT AVAILABLE



If the proview index scores for the session is not available, make sure the candidate has ended the session and it's been at least 15 minutes after the session is completed.

 

There might be instances that the index scores are not available for the session even after the above criteria is met.


Root Cause:


*Proview index might not be configured for the organization.


*The index score conversion is pending with the Talview system.

4. MULTIPLE FACE DETECTION NOT WORKING



If there are multiple faces in the proctor video, the same will be updated in the ‘Public event’ option as well.




There might be instances where the same is not updated in the ‘Public event’


Root Cause:


Both the faces in the session should be in focus, then only the flag will be updated in ‘Public events’. As the candidates use a laptop/smartphone (low Megapixel camera) for the session, there are chances the extra face which comes behind the candidate or at any out of focus areas will not be captured.

5. ONLY AUDIO AVAILABLE (Black Screen with headphones)


Once the session is completed, there will be no video reflecting on the platform, but an image of headphones along with the audio for the span of the session will be available.


Root Cause:


Video Frame not supported. If the candidate uses high end cameras with huge video frames, the recorded video frames will not support within the system. Hence as restoration, we're removing the frame of video and showing only audio.
