1. How do we decide between iframe and embedded integration?
If your platform/tool has a page refresh between questions or slides or different transactions, you will have to use the iframe integration. If it does not have a page refresh, you can proceed with the embedded integration. Each time the page refreshes or URL changes, Proview runs the enrolment check all over again. It can be avoided by using iframe integration.
2. Does Proview work in corporate networks?
Proview is a media-centric tool and relies on specific IPs and ports that need to be whitelisted in corporate environments for it to function seamlessly. Please reach out to your Talview point of contact for getting the details of the IPs and ports that you might need to whitelist if you are planning to use it in corporate environments.
3. How can we integrate Proview with Moodle?

7. What is the root_dir configuration field when installing Proview in moodle?
It is the directory where moodle is installed. If you can access moodle with a URL like this 'https://example.domain.com/' then the directory is '/' and no configuration is required. If you access moodle with a URL like 'https://example.domain.com/moodle/' then '/moodle/' is the root directory and the same needs to be configured in the root_dir field when installing proview.
8. Can I disable Proview in moodle?
The current proview plugin for moodle requires proview to be enabled by default when installing. However, you can use the proview_disabled group to disable Proview for a candidate.
9. How to use the proview_disabled group in moodle?
- Go to a course -> Go to settings in the course -> go to course administration -> go to users
- select groups -> create groups
- Set the group name as proview_disabled and fill other details as per your requirement
- Then add any participant to that group and proview will not launch for that participant in that course
